The sixth annual Harvest Ball is in the beautiful Wells Barn & is chaired by Rosalind & Gregg Berhalter, Head Coach & Sporting Director of the Columbus Crew SC. The cocktail style event features unique & flavorful food from Two Caterers, drinks, live music from The Conspiracy Band blending classics & modern hits, and exclusive raffles! Every dollar raised supports healthful food education at over 80 sites, reaching everyone from pre-schoolers to seniors, to combat diet-related chronic disease & food insecurity.
Local Matters hosts a variety of “pay what you can" public cooking and gardening classes in the CareSource Community Kitchen. Class topics and descriptions are found on the calendar below, in addition to other public events and programming. "Let's Get Growing" classes offer topics around gardening; "Let's Get Cooking" creates a foundation for cooking by learning the fundamentals; "Let's Have Fun in the Kitchen" gets the whole family cooking together (bring your kids to class!); "Let's Get Talking" provides a variety of film screenings and conversation around food and culture. It is our hope to bring everyone together in the kitchen to learn about healthful food in a variety of fun and interactive ways.
