Digital Community Standards

Local Matters believes that its digital community should be a welcoming place centered in respect with a focus on learning and education, particularly as it pertains to food access, education, and advocacy. Digital interactions should align with the brand values listed on Local Matters’ website. The administrators of Local Matters’ social media accounts and webpages reserve the right to delete any comments that they find to be in violation of its digital community standards. Further, administrators also reserve the right to report, block or ban users for said violations. 

Digital commentary that will be removed and potentially reported includes commentary that: 

·      is abusive, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, hate speech, or a personal attack 
·      is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading 
·      promotes illegal activity or violates intellectual property/privacy rights
·      includes false or defamatory information
·      violates other’s privacy or confidentiality 
·      is considered spam or excessively unrelated to the topic at hand
·      solicits products or services by a third party  

Local Matters reserves the right to remove any content that does not adhere to its digital community standards. Further, Local Matters can prohibit users from its digital platforms for violations of its digital community standards.
